“When I was a stay-at-home mother with three young boys, somewhere along the way I started needle felting my inner world and how I felt as a mother after two of my boys were diagnosed with autism. I think each time I sat down after making supper and doing the dishes, I felted.
I didn’t really know what I was making until a publishing company kept popping up, and I kept closing the tab. Eventually, I accepted that maybe it was popping up for a reason, and I looked at the artwork long enough to begin putting some words to it.
At first, I gave myself a goal of 100 words. Then it became 500 words, and I must have realised I had more to say, because the word count eventually grew to over 7,000 words.”
